The Australian Bar is comprised of nearly 6000 independent legal practitioners who are bound to act according to the ABA Model Rules.

The hallmark of a member of the independent referral bar is that practitioner’s independence, epitomised by adherence to what is described as the ‘cab rank’ rule.
